The value of the $100.= bill
A well known speaker at a seminar addressed a crowd of about 500 people.
In his hand he held a brand new 100 dollar bill.
He asked the crowd: "How many of you would like this 100 dollar bill?"
All 500 people raised their hands.
Then he crumpled it, cursed it, called it ugly, stupid, no good.
Next he held it up in its crumpled state and asked again: "How many of you
would like to have this 100 dollar bill?"
Again all 500 people raised their hand, begging that he would give them the money.
At last he did spit on the bill, threw it to the ground, with his foot kicked it and
stamped on it.
Again he asked the crowd: :How many would like to have this 100 dollar bill?"
Again all 500 people raised their hands.
"You see," he said: "You want this 100 dollar bill because it DID NOT LOSE ITS VALUE."
So many times, we feel unloved, unworthy, no good, less than other people and think
that no one in the world cares about us. We think that we need to throw ourselves away
because we are no good.
That is not true! Every daughter or son of God has VALUE, not because of our circumstances or
how we feel about ourselves, but because of WHOSE WE ARE and WHO WE ARE.
Say right now to yourself", "IN CHRIST I NEVER LOSE MY VALUE. I AM THE APPLE OF GOD'S EYE.
I AM BEAUTIFUL AND DESIRABLE IN GOD'S EYE."
